As you may already be aware, our primary focus is delivering organically grown fruits and vegetables in Gurgaon and Delhi NCR. Naturally, we settled on the name Organic Harvest to reflect our mission and embody our spirit. However, we discovered that another brand in a different sector shared the same name.

We didn’t want to deviate entirely from this word because it not only explains our mission but also captures our essence. To avoid confusion while staying true to the word, we have chosen the name OrganicBasket.

We recognize the significance of the term “organic,” but for us, it represents the minimum standard. We selected this word because it is highly marketable and widely understood. However, if you’re not familiar with its meaning, allow us to explain.

What does “organic” mean?

In simple terms, an organic harvest refers to cultivating crops without the use of synthetic chemicals. This means that organic crops are grown without synthetic fertilizers like Urea, D.A.P., and others. Farmers do not employ synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or similar substances.

By adopting organic practices, we can help keep toxic chemicals out of the food chain, which has been a significant contributing factor to the rise of lifestyle diseases such as cancer and diabetes.

But why do we go beyond organic?

While organic farming eliminates synthetic chemicals, we recognize that it alone is not sustainable for the farmers or the environment. In its current form, organic farming cannot adequately feed the growing global population. To promote sustainability, we encourage our farming partners to go beyond organic practices, ensuring that the food we provide is not only more nutritious but also beneficial for the environment.

Although we market our products as organic, they are nutritionally denser than conventional organic fruits and vegetables. In addition to being more nutritious, our approach offers several other benefits:

  1. Enhanced nutritional density: Our products are packed with even more essential nutrients.
  2. Reduced environmental impact: Going beyond organic farming practices helps minimize the negative effects on the environment.
  3. Carbon sequestration: Our methods contribute to the removal of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, aiding in the fight against climate change.
  4. Decreased global warming: By adopting sustainable practices, we help mitigate global warming effects.
  5. Affordable and 100% organic: We strive to offer affordable products while maintaining our commitment to organic farming.

In conclusion, while our products are marketed as organic, they go beyond the standard organic practices. By embracing sustainable and innovative approaches, we aim to provide nutritionally rich produce while minimizing our impact on the environment. With OrganicBasket, you can trust that you are not only consuming organic fruits and vegetables but also supporting a more sustainable future.
